Survey Track: Geology, Geophysics, Mapping and Core
Finding what is in the ground and proving it: deposit types, geophysics, GNSS and lidar mapping, core logging and the reporting rules that decide whether a discovery is real. For geotechs, surveyors, drone mappers and field crews.

What's in it
Module 1: Rocks, deposits and critical minerals
An ore deposit is rock with enough valuable mineral to mine at a profit.
Module 2: Seeing underground: geophysics
Geophysics measures physical properties of rock from the surface or the air, so crews can see where to drill.
Module 3: Where exactly: GNSS, datums and lidar
GNSS is the general term for satellite positioning systems, including GPS.
Module 4: Core, QA/QC and proving it
Drill core is the ground truth.
The full lessons, quizzes and final test are open to crew members. Joining is free.
