Terms

The short version. Mars Mining is a free career site run by one person, Alec Weinstein. Joining the crew gets you a personnel file and job matches. The company in the name is made up. Joining doesn't make you an employee of anything.
Your account. You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep your inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can open your file. You must be at least 16 to join.
Your file. What you put in it is yours. By joining, you give us permission to store it and use it to run the service for you: reading your resume, filling in your profile and matching you to jobs. We don't sell it. Deleting it takes one button on your personnel file page.
Matches aren't advice. Matches and fit notes are made by software, sometimes with an AI model, and can be wrong. Check every posting on the employer's own site. We don't screen candidates, we aren't a recruiter, and we can't promise interviews or offers.
Fair use. Don't upload anyone else's resume, try to get into other people's files, or hammer the service with automated requests. We may limit or close accounts that do.
Changes and outages. The service is offered as is. It may change, go down or shut off. If we make a big change to these terms we'll post it here and update the date above.
Liability. As far as the law allows, Mars Mining isn't liable for losses from using the site or acting on a match.
