About Valar Atomics

At Valar Atomics, we're redefining what's possible in energy. Our mission is to make clean, high-temperature nuclear power scalable—unlocking abundant energy for industry, hydrogen, and next-generation manufacturing. We are a team of builders, engineers, and operators who believe nuclear energy should be fast to deploy, factory-made, and built for the real world. Our first pilot plant in Orangeville, Utah will demonstrate how advanced nuclear systems and fuel fabrication can power the future. Joining Valar Atomics means becoming part of a company where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level.

The Team

As part of the Engineering organization, Mechanical Engineering designs and develops the mechanicalsystems, components, and equipment that power Valar's advanced nuclear technologies. The teamensures designs are robust, manufacturable, and optimized for long-term performance.

The Role

We're looking for a Mechanisms Technician to build some of the most safety-critical hardware in our nuclear reactor. The systems you assemble will be sealed inside the reactor and can't be serviced once installed, so they have to be built right the first time, every time. This is a first-of-a-kind role. You'll take a CAD model or drawing and a set of loose parts and turn them into a correct, working system, often with no existing procedure to follow. …

About the pay figures (~): These are estimates. Yearly figures are estimated total comp ranges: the employer's posted pay range, or, with no posted pay, the median to 90th-percentile BLS wage for similar jobs, plus typical benefits and bonus, without stock. Hourly figures for internships and contract roles are posted rates or BLS hourly wage ranges. Figures outside the U.S. and for loosely matched titles are rough ballparks. How we estimate
